Case Study​

Christmas was coming and the sorting and delivery office needed to recruit an extra 300 staff to cover various shift patterns over 7 days per week, however, these individuals would only be needed for a 6-week period, 8 weeks maximum!  This was a huge task internally, setting up the payroll itself was a massive task bringing in extra staff, putting on all that information, the time, the cost!  The recruitment would just take over the place, all the side offices used for interviewing, HR setting up all those contracts, line managers constantly out interviewing, the focus on the business in question was gone for a 2 month sometimes 3-month period.  We had the solution!  We would take on this project and we did an excellent job, even if we say so ourselves.  This is what we did we started recruiting in August using our job boards, internal databases.  We obtained references and did security checks.  Everyone had to have safety boots and hi viz.  We worked as team in our office 7 days per week when it went live on a shift pattern so if there were any issues they could talk to a person not an answerphone or someone half a sleep because they had been woken up in the middle of the night!  At the beginning of every new shift we went on site we met the line manager and supported the inductions.  Every day after the first shift had checked in at 6am we would arrive on site with our laptop and complete the huge excel spreadsheet we had produced to enable payroll to run smoothly, checking the signing on sheets to ensure everyone had signed in and was getting paid promptly. A complete success saving the client huge expenditure, time and business focus.  We did get Christmas day off though! We look forward to hearing from you.​
